look who's back...

she even came back with a certificate of good health. the girls were pretty excited. i have to admit the whole process was kind of cute.

these girls were hoping to go to the gilbert rodeo this weekend. didn't happen.
fyi... go to safeway or albertsons for your turkey. costco has them for .89 a lb. and safeway had them for .39 a lb. and this was the line today at costco.... all the way back to the produce department!

The Hop, Skip and a Jump Maternity Frock GROSGRAIN GIVEAWAY!!!!

The Hop, Skip and a Jump Maternity Frock GROSGRAIN GIVEAWAY!!!!

off to the hospital....

the doll hospital that is. Josefina was being a litle too daring while playing outside. her leg popped right off. it was very traumatic. lucky for me, they make the dolls so that they cannot be fixed unless you hot glue the leg back into the socket or send them in to the special "doll hospital" in Wisconsin. i hear she comes back with a balloon and a gown tho. i had to prepay for the surgery and put the payment in with the doll in the box... surprise surprise. hopefully she will be back in time for Christmas.

blissfest

my dear sister friend, Mindy, and i went to check out the fall blissfest party. it was so cute. we had such a great time wandering around, checking out the talented vendors and dying over all the cute decorations.

i like horses....
it had a western theme which is why we are dressed kinda westerny.
we were excited...
cute decorations. i wanted to move into this little area. it looks like the kind of thing i used to try to make when i was a little girl. well i wanted it to look like this, maybe it did in my head, but since we lived in the desert and i played with cinder blocks and a horse water bucket, i doubt it even came close.

there was a cute girl there doing cute hairstyles. she styled and curled and even put in a very cute feathered clip or bow.

the best sugar cookie ever!!!
mindy's cute do...
my cute feather clip...
we sat at the table enjoying our lattes and cookie while watching a fashion show.
it was the perfect end to a perfect night when we got to meet nienie! she hugged me and said she loved mindy's cute hair. she and her husband are so cute, truly amazing and inspiring.
thanks for being my date sister!!!

photo shoot

S and D have been very busy with their own photo shoot. they were quiet and entertaining themselves so i let them go. they were very excited for me to see the pictures and they wanted to see them on the computer. aren't they adorable???????????????????????????????????
of course they had a special guest sit in for some of the shoot.... charlotte.

doesn't charlotte look thrilled?????????

she's looking and listening for me to come and open the door so she can escape....

moving outside for some natural light....

off to a great start...

first of all, i've been sick. just a cold, no flu thank goodness. but i made myself stay in bed all weekend so that it didn't get out of control and so that i could heal relatively fast. BORING. i wasn't sick enough to actually sleep, just generally felt like crap, which is how i feel all the time now anyway so no biggie. so yesterday i finally felt all better except that i have no voice. which means i have no control. everyone is ignoring me, no one hears me. it is very frustrating. i didn't realize it was gone until i tried to order starbucks in the morning drive thru. i woke up extra early to take pictures at school. turns out i was very early and didn't need to be there for another hour. i hate waking up early. i did have a nice lunch with my friends, but i kept yapping away. straining my voice even more. i did a photo shoot after that. it is really hard to tell people where to stand, what to do, etc. without a voice. they were very patient with me tho. had a nice nights sleep which is always a luxury. woke up to no voice again. it was chaos in the morning. the dishwasher is broken, dishes are everywhere. we hate our dishwasher, nothing but problems. the guy did come to fix it at 7:45 which was nice, but added to the chaos. turns out we had stuffed too many knives in the top which was keeping it from closing. dumb. i still don't like it. then i thought i needed a cold glass of oj. i was a little nervous because i was craving oj like it was going out of style and then paid the price the other day when i barfed up a whole gallon it felt like. so i took out the gallon, shook it up really good... to find out the last person had not closed the cap all the way. oj sprayed all over the kitchen and almost all over the guy working on the dishwasher. p o'd at this point. i was especially mad because i really didn't want to take shower today. but as it dried, i found out that it works just as nicely as hairspary. just don't try to run your fingers through my hair today.

2009 halloween festivities

one evening paully decided to have a hot dog roast in the front yard. now that was my kind of camping. the kids were all clean, we could go inside and wash our hands and best of all we could tuck them all in in their own beds and have a good nights rest. the kids loved this. i guess they like hot dogs, paul bought a package of 8, i didn't eat one and paul didn't get one. they stuffed their little faces. can you tell they don't get them very often?
snuggle snuggle!
i really hope the wax coating on the hangers wasn't toxic!
ketchup face
next we roasted marshmallows on our fancy roaster. it's just not camping without s'mores!! what a great evening.
the next evening we carved pumpkins. for some reason or another, not so fun. the kids were tired, arguing, and no one wanted to get their hands dirty. but they all wanted to be in the exact same spot to watch.
not feeling so photogenic...
paul did a great job especially since he did not have the proper pumpkin carving tools.
spooooky!!!
D had her famous school parade. she said before she got there that she was not going to participate. she doesn't like people looking at her. i don't know how that is going to work with her life's dream of being on stage...
she had her head in the basket for awhile. but took it out to walk next to a friend. they had a party in their class, cookies, juice, candy, carving a pumpkin.... lots of fun!
i think p scrubs really likes the new purple wig.
S went over to my talented neighbors house to get some purple fairy make up. it exceeded my expectations. she looked gorgeous!
here's dorothy. she was feeling a little nervous. after she ate 2 plates of food, we figured out she was just hungry.
S was a purple fairy.
L was a beautiful wonder woman.
S was a cute little pumpkin.
Noni was a witch, but not acting like one because she put all the food together while i was putting the kids together. and my friend sarah brought over my fav hummus and pita chips. thanks guys!
cutest star wars family ever!
best family pic. i'm a sister wife and pscrubs is a birthday present. most people didn't know i was dressed up, they just thought i was weird. i thought the hair would give it away. don't ask me why i always go for the most unflattering halloween costumes. next year i'm doing something hot!
popeye and the birthday present.
popeye, olive oil and sweet pea.
ready to get some candy!
i can't believe we are going to get candy in these bags!!
scary smoking fountain!!! we ended up having a great time trick-or-treating. this was the first year the big kids really liked it. in past years they get tired, get stomach aches and get really weepy half way thru. D was ready to go a little earlier. she went home with olive oil. she said she was done and had enough candy. right after that we spotted a neighbor with only 1 kid on his golf cart! we filled that right up. he took us to the "scary" houses. L got really scared when a mummy with a chain saw came right at her. S was yelling "you're not real!!" the 2 little ones just grabbed their candy and said that it was really "pooky!"

the kids went right to bed and are just now waking up at 9:15!!! what a night!
