camping. not usually my cup of tea, but the kids have so much fun and are making wonderful memories and that makes it all worth it. plus, i really really like s'mores. we were lucky enough to have some friends join us. the kids ran out into the wild and disappeared until it was food time or bed time.

we took a day trip to snowflake. i liked the flags and lamp posts along main street.

mmm...... ice cream. i opted for a chocolate malt.

we also stopped at a craft boutique in taylor. it had a pretty green grassy field in front with plenty of dandelions just right for blowin'.

the girls each got $1 to buy a craft. they decided to put their money together to buy banana bread. i found a frame and some fresh bread.

my girl is 7!!!!

little L turned 7!!! i can't believe how fast the time flies by. i think she had a great day despite the fact that mommy ruined her cake request. we started the day at the splash pad with friends. she recieved a beautiful handmade pearl necklace and a very sweet card. we celebrated with cupcakes (i really rushed on those and they ended up being way better than the cake i spent 2 days on). then off to her favorite place to eat lunch... the elephant bar. i don't know why she loves this place so much, but this is the 2nd or 3rd year she picked it as the location for her special birthday lunch.

then.... after that.... a special shopping trip with mommy to pick out a special dress. she was really into turquoise this year. finally home to eat, have cake and open presents! whew! what a day!

oh yeah. a proud moment.
she didn't seem to mind. she was just happy there was a unicorn on it.
sevens were everywhere!!!! happily enjoying the special unicorn pudding cake.

well, our dear friend Billy brought over his awesome friend Audrey. I think I even posted a pic of her playing with little S on the scooter a few posts ago...... ANYWHO......

SHE is an AWESOME musician! I didn't even know. here is a link to her music. She sings my new all time fav song. it's not released yet tho, so you'll have to wait. check her out......

grrrr.....

while i had an awesome time in vegas, i am now home and some everyday things are driving me crazy!!!!!

1. that @#$*& cat is acting out ( i wonder why... D?) and decided to pee all over the basement. now i haven't had that much experience with cat pee, but now i know. it's horrible!!! i bleached, baking powdered, steam-cleaned (well paul did that part). the house still reeks! i don't know what else to do. it's miserable.

2. i can't get a stain out of a white shirt

3. i need to finish the 5th flowergirl dress

4. the ice maker is broken

5. it's hot

6. i want to do some pics of the kids but don't have cute outfits and i don't want to spend money to get new ones.

7. i'm having an awfully hard time sticking to eating only healthy foods and don't even think about me working out.

8. i am supposed to make a unicorn cake. yikes!

now don't get me wrong. those are just the things making me annoyed. luckily i have more things that make me smile....

1. my cute kids.

2. one of them has a birthday this week.

3. the house was SPOTLESS when i came home from my trip.

4. the bathroom is almost finished. p worked so hard.

5. my car was SPOTLESS when i got back.

6. i have a house full of freshly steam-cleaned carpets. clean but smelly :(

7. a bouquet of roses, lilies, dahlias and violets was in the kitchen when i got home.

8. my sis is getting married in 2 months!!!

9. i got a rockin deal on my shoes for the wedding. here they are. enjoy. you are welcome. ;)

10. i'm making a video of our vegas trip and it makes me laugh everytime i sit down to do it.

11. little critter said my hair is really pretty and that a compliment coming from her, our hair looks the same :) also. she cried last time i got my hair cut and came home with bangs.

12. it makes me happy to see my kids playing and pretending and eating oranges, blueberries and other healthy foods

13. hearing the kids say stuff like they wish the hallway to their room was made of trampolines and the stairs were really a slide.

14. i have some really fun trips planned and can't wait to go on them!!!!!

rockin' robin

this little red bird had a big recital. she did a great job, even with her stubbed toe :( i think her favorite part of the recital was getting a piggy-back ride from auntie and getting a double scoop ice cream cone afterwards!

noni gave her a red rose after the performance :)
